Paul Edward Allen, born on April 24, 1945, in the serene landscapes of North Carolina, passed away in Chesapeake, VA, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 81.
Paul was a man who lived his life with quiet dignity and a generous spirit, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A skilled accountant by profession, he was more than just a man good with numbers; he was a pillar of support and a beacon of kindness to those around him.
Known for his kind-hearted nature, Paul was always ready to offer a helping hand, whether it meant driving a neighbor to a doctor’s appointment or simply lending an empathetic ear. His unwavering dedication to family was evident in his presence at every family dinner and holiday gathering, where his warmth and gentle humor were cherished by all.
In his neighborhood, Paul was affectionately known as the local cat person, sharing his love and compassion not only with people but also with furry friends who gravitated to his gentle soul.
Though preceded in death by his loving parents, Virginia D. and Joseph F. Williams, sister, Sylvia Harrington, and his dear friend James Steele. Paul’s legacy of kindness and generosity continues to live on through his surviving family: his daughter Pamela Allen, his brother James F. Williams and his wife, Kerry, his sister, Gail Bintliff and her husband David, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a circle of friends and neighbors who considered themselves fortunate to have called him a friend.
While no formal services will be held, the family will gather privately to celebrate Paul’s life and share memories of a man whose heart was as boundless as his commitment to others. Paul will be profoundly missed.
