Nanci Emma Willis, a beloved mother and devoted family woman, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, in Norfolk, Virginia, at the age of 84. Born on March 18, 1942, in Collingswood, New Jersey, she was the cherished daughter of the late Russell and Emma Strable.

Throughout her life, Nanci exemplified dedication and hard work, most notably through her role as a Store Manager with Rite Aid. Her commitment to her work was only matched by her profound love for her family, which was always at the forefront of her life.

Nanci is preceded in death by her loving husband, Andrew John Willis, with whom she shared many wonderful years of marriage. Her parents, Russell and Emma Strable, also preceded her in passing.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her son, Darren Andrew Willis and his wife, Mai; daughter, Melissa Anne Reum and her husband, Fred; grandchildren are Dylann and Gavin Willis. Nanci’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

Services to honor Nanci’s life are currently pending. The family kindly asks that you post your fondest condolences and memories on the Cremation Society of Virginia website. May her soul rest in peace, forever cherished by those she held dear.  In lieu of flowers, we request a donation be made to the Alzheimer’s Research Association.
