Jerry Louis Arnette, 83, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family and the faith that guided his life.
Jerry was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, faithful friend, and a man deeply committed to his Christian faith. He retired from Anheuser-Busch after many years of dedicated service and was known for his strong work ethic, kindness, and steady presence.
A devout Christian man, Jerry was a faithful member of James River Baptist Church, where he enjoyed attending Sunday school, studying the Bible, and growing in fellowship with his church family. His faith was the foundation of his life and an inspiration to those around him.
Jerry found great joy in the outdoors. He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his devoted wife, Frances, and the many moments shared with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Dorothy Arnette, and his siblings, Melvin, Charles, Harold, Lucille, Emma, Joanne, Jean, and son-in-law Russell Brown.
Jerry leaves behind his loving wife, Frances Arnette; brother, Derl; his children, Donna Roberts (Mike), Wayne Arnette (Rhonda), Wendy Armstrong (Lawrence), Patricia Otto (Shawn), Tracey Brown, Jennifer Broady (Ronald), Michele Burris (David), Donna Paziuk, and Deborah Posey; along with many nieces and nephews, as well as eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who will forever treasure his love, wisdom, and gentle spirit.
A memorial service celebrating Jerry’s life will be held at James River Baptist Church on June 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
Reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall following the Celebration of Life.
