James Andrew Haith, 71, passed away on May 5, 2026, with his loving wife by his side. Born on September 11, 1954, James lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, strength, and unconditional love for his family.
James was a true jack of all trades and could fix absolutely anything. He spent much of his life working in HVAC, where his skill, dedication, and incredible work ethic earned the respect of everyone who knew him. In his earlier years, he also proudly served as a police officer with the Norfolk Police Department. No matter what role he held, James was someone others could always depend on.
Above all else, James was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberley, and his daughters, Julianne and Jamie Haith, who were the center of his world. James leaves behind a loving family, including his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him deeply.
James found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved going to the gym, golfing, fishing, playing cornhole, and spending time outdoors. Anyone who ever played cornhole with him knew he was nearly impossible to beat. He also adored his beloved kitty cat, Alley, who brought him comfort and companionship.
More than anything, James was loving, caring, and selfless. He spent his life taking care of the people he loved most and making sure his family was always safe, supported, and cared for. His strength, humor, wisdom, and presence touched so many lives and will be deeply missed every single day.
The family plans to hold a celebration of life at a later date to remember and celebrate James. For those who wish, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in recognition of his courageous battle with heart failure.
Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment shared with him. James is deeply loved and will forever remain in our hearts.
