It's hard to find a beginning to this story, but for many wilder years George and I were like brothers, we were inseparable. We both loved medieval history and recreating it but also the early period of American History. We worked hard at our jobs so we could play even harder. I can't think of any other time in my life where I had more fun. George and I had great times together. I served as his Best Man at his wedding to Teresa, I recall how I had to climb up the back wall of their apartment building to the second floor balcony in a tuxedo to get into their apartment bc I left the wedding ring in the apartment when I left to go to the wedding and I had locked the front door. But I got the ring the wedding was saved. I remember the birth of his children and how proud he was. But our lives finally parted when I began my career in law enforcement around 1994. Several years had passed before we reconnected and we spoke sporadically through face book and text. He was asking me to come over and "lets get s**t faced" LOL, but I couldn't do that anymore due to health issues of my own and I was married myself with kids of my own. My life took a different path than his and this made me sad. It made me miss my old friend and all the good times we had. I had always held out some hope that he would stop drinking and get well but that didn't happen and that too makes me sad. George was a flawed person no doubt, but he was a kind hearted soul even if he was a handful and when he laughed he laughed with his entire being and it was contagious and it filled the room. I will miss my brother, your memory lives on with me and I will never forget you George or all the great times we had. I am sorry you had to leave us so early but I am thankful that your suffering is now done. May God Bless and keep Teresa and George's kids, my deepest sympathies the entire family.
