Jim was a kind, patient and loving free spirit. Always willing to lend a hand. Born in South Portland, Maine, he was a nomad who enjoyed life everywhere he lived, but especially when near the water. Football, rock and roll, and his man cave were not to be trifled with. His Rock knowledge was unparalleled, from Woodstock through the Rock and Roll Era – a true rock music traditionalist. Jim was lovingly known as “blue eyes” to some, and also “the Captain – who wore his cap at a jaunty angle throughout his life.” Charming and roguish, with a great sense of humor, Jim enjoyed people. His last years were a challenge, but he never gave up the fight. Jim will be missed by many, but most of all by his wife Carol. Their 42 years together were memorable, filled with both joy and some struggles, but always with love.
