Mark Andrew Placer, 69, a dedicated family man and hardworking provider, passed away on May 21, 2026, at his home in Chesapeake, Virginia, with his family by his side. Born on April 9, 1957, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Mark spent his life committed to his work as a hard-working master plumber, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those around him.
Mark loved his family, the Pittsburgh Steelers and his beer. He was a faithful man who will be missed by many and forever loved with beautiful memories of over 50 years with the love of his life, his loving wife.
Mark was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert Harold Placer and Ruth Potts Placer and a sister, Susanne Gurganus. He is survived by his devoted wife, Roxine Placer, their four loving children, Kimberly Byers, Karen Allen, Justin Baker and Adreanne Placer, and his brother, Richard Placer, enjoyed his many nieces and nephews and was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. They will all forever cherish his memory and the legacy of love and dedication he leaves behind.
