Valda Louise Jacques of Suffolk passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026 at the age of 83. She was born on September 21, 1942 in California to the late Esther and Alfred Walton.

Valda dedicated much of her professional life to the field of finance, where she worked diligently for General Dynamics in Suffolk. Her commitment and work ethic were admired by colleagues and friends alike.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Jacques. Valda is survived by her loving daughter, Darla Saintis of California; her grandchildren, Chelsea and Sebastian Saintis; and her dear brother, Donald Walton and his wife, Judy, of South Carolina.

Valda will be remembered fondly by her family and friends for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.
