Trudie D. Boore Chivis, 51, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 6^th, in Norfolk, VA.

She was born October 7^th, 1965 in Parma, Ohio the daughter of John T. Boore, Sr. and Romona I. Santee Boore of Dunnellon, FL, and was the youngest of 4 siblings.

On August 26^th, 2016, she married the love of her life Charles J. Chivis, Jr., who survives.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Olivia A. and Xavier K. Boyce; her sons, Adam E. Hutchins and Aaron M. Hutchins, of Norfolk, VA; her step-daughter, Jazmin J. Sefah, and step-son, Charles J. “Bud” Chivis, of Richmond, VA; grandchildren Alana J. Boyce (6 yrs), Elias M. Boyce (5 mos.), Elijah B. Sefah (5 yrs); brother and sister-in-law John T. “Tom” and Barbara L. Boore, Jr., WV; sister and brother-in-law Debra and Tony Underwood, FL; and sister Kitty Sapp, NC.

She is also survived by her nieces Angela M. “Angie” Sapp, NC, Sarah C. Haught Pevehouse (Shane), CA, Lindsey B. Boore (Brent Hunt), WV; nephews Daniel G. Haught (Leah), NC, John T. “JT” Boore, III (Lisa Alexander), NC, and several great nieces and nephews.

Trudie graduated from North Marion High School in 1984 and attended Fairmont State College. She was a member of the bands at NMHS and FSC high school where she played the flute and saxophone. She was a Realtor and Office Manager for A. J. Potter Investments for the past 15 years. She loved animals, and had a special fondness for dogs. She raised and bred Shih Tzu dogs for many years and also raised and bred Airedale Terriers. She was also a proud member, along with her husband, Charles, of the Buckroe Beach Bums.

Trudie was very dedicated to her family and was a very caring and loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother and Grandmother. Her children were her most precious blessings. Her biggest desire was for her children to be kind, loving, respectful and most of all happy in life.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Oren E. and M. Naomi Boore and Samuel Paul and Nola G. Santee, and her nephew Joshua K. Sapp.

Per her wishes, Trudie will be cremated and a Memorial service will be held at a later date.

You're so very missed Trudie. I still remember the first time we met in Japan and was introduced to the beautiful Olivia...You're a beautiful soul and are deeply missed.

My sincerest condolences and prayers. Spending time with my daughters and your children in Virginia Beach are some of our fondest memories. Rest in Peace.

I'm so very sorry to hear about this. I had the honor to meet this angel a few times before she got her wings and I have to admit she was a very beautiful soul along side her husband. Trudie and I were neighbors on Genesee way vabch for years and friendship developed between us. I loved her as a good friend she was always soft spoken and the sweetest person to know. She loved dogs and animals and was so proud of her children and grands. Trudie was so thrilled when she met Charles. She stated Vanessa I've met a wonderful man it's the best relationship ever. I was so thrilled and excited for her. I miss you my friend. You will never be forgotten. I love you girl. My condolences to her wonderful husband Charles and her children Aaron, Adam and Olivia.
