VIRGINIA BEACH – Jodi Cohen, age 58, of Virginia Beach, Va, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. She was surrounded by family and friends each of whom live perpetually in the vastness of her heart.

She was born to the late Leon and Lily Cohen on October 5, 1958 in Toms River, NJ. Jodi attended Toms River High School South graduating with honors. She and our entire family were blessed by the birth of her daughter Meredith and the time we grew together as life led them to their home here in Virginia.

Family and friends were Jodi’s passion and delight. She was an active member in the community and always extended her open arms and helping hands. They were the threads of her spirit and the fabric of her faith.

Jodi is survived by her sisters, Geraldine Smiejan, and husband Jim, Tina Cohen-Granger, and her husband Mario, her brother Peter Cohen and his wife Mary, her daughter Meredith Tebbe and her husband David, nephews Matthew, Nathaniel, Alex and niece Melanie. As a grandmother she treasured the lights and love of her granddaughters Lily and Olivia Tebbe, and great nephews Kingston, Gage, Vincent, Matix and great niece Makayla. She also leaves behind numerous loving friends in her extended family.

A memorial celebrating the life of Jodi Cohen will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1489 Laskin Rd., Virginia Beach, Va 23451 this Saturday, September 23rd at 2pm.
