Joe was a lifelong resident of Virginia and resided with his wife Ellie in Chesapeake Virginia. After Joe obtained his BA degree he became a supervisor at Liberty Tax Services and remained there until his passing.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, G. Tommy Everett, his paternal grandparents Ralph and Kathryn Everett, and his maternal grandfathers, Joseph Guillette and Byron Hodge.
Joe is survived by his devoted wife, Ellie, of Chesapeake, VA, his much loved sons; James, Gabe, Nate, and Ben of Belvidere, NC. His mother and step-father Christie and Jay Goldman of Virginia Beach; step-sister Lennie (Bobby) Hooten of Virginia Beach, step-brother, Michael Goldman of Palmdale, CA, grandmother, Fran Hodge of Virginia Beach, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and dear friends that mourn his loss.
He will be missed by his family, friends, and co-workers.

Celebration of Life will be held Friday, February 1st, 2019 at Altmeyer Funeral Homes Chesapeake Chapel 929 Battlefield Blvd at 6:30 pm.
