In his 27 short years, Dylan profoundly touched the hearts and lives of all who knew him and even some who did not. He has inspired great people to live even greater lives.

Dylan was taken from us far too soon, passing on January 27, 2019, after a tragic accident. He was born on September 20, 1991, and was the only child of Susan D’Amato Freeland of Virginia Beach and George Manning Freeland III, who preceded him in death. In addition to his mother, Dylan is survived by grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, countless friends and colleagues, all of whom will be forever bonded by their love and admiration for him.

Dylan’s infectious smile and zest for life led him on an endless quest for adventure and the perfect punchline.

Although we mourn the loss of his life, Dylan’s spirit will live on in our memories and he will be cherished in our hearts. As we grieve Dylan’s passing, we take solace knowing that his sacrifice gives new hope to six organ recipients and their families. Six new families now join our own family and countless others who have been touched and enlightened by Dylan. His legacy lives on as inspiration to give and help others, as he did for us. Services will be held 1:00 pm in Community Church, Saturday 2, 2019.
