June 25, 1953 - February 16, 2019

Linda Ann Davis, 65, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019. She was born in Richmond, Virginia and resided in Newport News. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Davis; mother, Libby Taylor and step-father, P.K. Taylor, Sr.

Linda was a former chef at Mike’s Place, Newport News, for many years and also cooked for other establishments. Cooking was her passion and it was all from memory, as she never used a recipe. She loved cooking and making treats for everyone, no matter the occasion. She had a way of cooking her way into people’s hearts. Linda was a very kind and fun loving person. She had many friends and she was also an avid animal lover.

Left to cherish her memories are her brothers, Mike Davis and wife, Susan and Jerry Davis and wife, Nina; five nieces, Brittany Lane, Allyson Lane, Dawn Brown, Stacey Nelson and Krysta Lee; seven nephews, Mikie Davis, Taylon Brown, Ryan Davis, Michael Adamy, Kayne Lane, Ace Knight and Brandon Nelson and her toy poodle, Skipper. She will also be missed by many extended family and friends.

linda lou is what i called her. she has and always will be my best buddy for ocer 40 years. we have been through many journeys together that have been undescribable but very memorable. my last journey with her was in the hospital feb 15 and 16 2019. i am so glad that god waited to take her to let me spend those last hours with her. i will cherish and always remember her. love you linda lou....martha laine my best buddy always.l

I have known Linda for about 5 years and she was a very seeet, caring person and was there for me when my fiancé, Sammy,passed away. She was definitely a awesom cook and a wonderful person that will be missed by all. RIP Linda Lou, I will miss you.
