So sad that this joyful fun loving man has been silenced. I knew him at PAHS and ODU. While working for a local florist I stopped at NWF almost daily. Even working he was a free spirit. God receive him and bless his soul

Cindy, you have my sympathy...living through the mental decline of a dearly beloved one is not an easy burden. May Dick be remembered for the fun he brought to life and the many kindnesses he offered as he traveled through it...and May he Rest in Peace.

What a wonderful classmate you were! The Class of ‘59 PAHS will sorely miss you! NWF was your life and anytime I went in there , you were so helpful in selecting just the right color and mixture of flowers! God has his very own florist now and I’m sure that all of His angels will love your beautiful arrangements! RIP, dear friend and classmate!

Dick was a great guy who enjoyed life and being around people, the water and nature. The love of his boat and motorcycle were a bright time in his life but the love of flowers was his passion. He was always willing to teach all he knew about flowers and how they brightened an occasion. Dick will be missed by many. It is great to know that Dick is forever out of pain and back to his whole self, doing whatever he wishes to do. God bless both of you.
