Hampton, VA – Charles Robert Pritt, 62, passed away Saturday May 25, 2019.
Charles Pritt will be very much missed, however, friends and family find comfort in knowing he was never in any pain and is finally at peace. The best years of his life were spent with Tracy Maggio, his longtime girlfriend and life partner. They were always together and shared in so much over so many years.
He leaves behind his children Brian Pritt, Angel Crites and Dakota Link, also to be fondly remember by Melissa and Kristine Nabi, Tracy’s daughters and forever our sisters. Dad loved all of his grandchildren beyond words: Arianna, Amaiah, Arabella, Amberlyn, Aden and Nate. His brothers and sisters John, Donald, Barbara and Carolyn will always remember the laughs that were so contagious, thanks to his unending humor. There are countless other nieces, nephews, friends and extended family that will always miss him.
Charles was always able to find a job. From washing dishes in Snowshoe, W.Va., scalloping along the eastern coast, driving tractor trailers and operating heavy equipment. There are so many places in Tidewater that exist because he cleared the land. His last position was by far his most favored, operating the Silos at Kinder Morgan, Pier IX. Charles found his way around all of Pier IX Terminal, but he found so much joy in keeping the cement flowing, the coffee pot full and telling anyone he could about the vice grip.
In his final years, he made peace with many things in this life and the family is forever grateful for the good times. Now during the most difficult time, we are faced with many financial expenses and the responsibility of keeping our father’s final wishes and providing him with deserved comfort in his final rest.
Please join us in making donations to help in this time of need. Any blessing will be received warmly and any donation will be greatly appreciated.
