New Bethel Baptist Church left a message on August 7, 2020:
“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 2-3 Pastor and First Lady Boston, Officials and members of New Bethel Baptist Church extend with heartfelt sympathy to you, Sister June Robinson, Dr. Jacqueline Gholson, family and loved ones on the passing of your husband and brother-in-law, Brother Eddie Robinson. We didn’t personally know Brother Robinson, however knowing you, Dr. Gholson, tell us he was an upstanding, kind and loyal servant to his family and friends. Brother Robinson was orator of God’s where he eagerly told others about the goodness of the Lord and what was required to live a Godly life. He served his Country in the United States Army, which we say, Thank You for your Service, but he didn’t stop there, he continued his service as a Supervisor in the Maintenance Department at Bausch Gardens where he met a host of friends. As he went through life he left his footprints of kindness and love. “As Eddie journeyed through life, He left footprints wherever he went Footprints of kindness and love, Courage and compassion, Humor and inspiration, Joy and faith, So even though he is gone, You will look back and clearly see, The trail Eddie left behind.” As you go through the upcoming days, we pray that you find strength in knowing we care and we pray God will bring peace as only He can do. In Sincere and Heartfelt Sympathy Edward G. Boston Dr. Edward G. Boston, MD, FACOG, Pastor

Why the delay with this post? Because there is so much to say. Proverbs 17:17 says, “a true friend is loving all the time. Eddie Robinson is a true friend. It amazes me how a man so disciplined can also show such compassion for others, sometimes without saying a word. Eddie has been my friend when I felt I had none and made me smile when I thought there was no reason to. My family and are grateful to have worked alongside a true “fellow worker” We cannot wait for the day when he is called, answers, and fill the void he has left in our lives. We love the Robinson Family and our condolences are yours.

Earnie left a message on July 25, 2020:
To the Family of Eddie Robinson, Eddie was a loving and generous brother. He always smiled and would give you the shirt off of his back. He was truly a soldier for Jehovah, as his love for the ministry was quite apparent, for there were times in which he had worked all night at Farm Fresh, and he would turn around and share in the ministry until Noon. Eddie inspired me to get into the cleaning business. For 17 years I had my own buisness, which included one of Eddie's specialities, that of buffing, waxing and stripping floors. Notwithstanding, we truly enjoyed going to Hardee's and eating our biscuits and gravy. I long for the day when we will see him again in paradise and hear him say, " Eddie Robinson is my name, and field service is my game". With deep sympathy, Earnie Wilkerson
