Charmain Schroeder passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday August 2, 2020. She was 72 years old. Charmain was born in Norfolk, VA on June 18, 1948. After marrying James Schroeder, they relocated to Virginia Beach and later relocated to Williamsburg, VA in 1997.
Charmain had a love for gardening, cooking, horses, and most of all, spending time with her family. Holidays and Sunday family dinners were especially cherished moments. She also enjoyed quiet time playing video games and watching her favorite shows usually home improvement shows or something sci-fi. She was well known for her independent spirit which served as inspiration for all who knew her. Her fierce loyalty to her family was second to none.
She is survived by her children, Brian Schroeder, Eric Schroeder, Lori Schroeder, and Jason Schroeder; her grandkids, Cameron and Haley Schroeder; brothers, Glen Parsons and Alan Parsons; sisters, Denise Dunn, Renee Curry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Riverside Hospice Care, Peninsula Cancer Institute and all others who helped her courageous fight.
Services will be held at Bucktrout Funeral Home in Williamsburg. A visitation will be held at 12 pm and the funeral service will begin at 1 pm on Tuesday August 18, 2020. Social distancing and facial coverings are required.
