I am deeply saddened as Jim Reid was so very special in hearts of the Griggs/McIlwain girls. My Mom , Louise, was especially fond of him as they shared close birthdays and often celebrated together as youngsters. He will be deeply missed by the Paddock/Ward family. My deepest condolences sent with prayers for healing during such sadness. Warm embraces sent to your family.

My sincerest condolence to Jean, Jay, Jennie and their children. Jim was a classmate, friend and fellow docent at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. He was like a brother to me. We enjoyed playing golf with our classmates as well as driving to the Museum together where we enlivened the exhibits with our stories about service in the navy. Jim will be long remembered for his positive view of life.
