On Monday, March 1st, 2021, Deborah Jones, a loving wife and mother of three sons, passed away from lung cancer at 64. She was born and raised in Texas, where she worked a the local radio station. On May 27th, 1988, she married Chris Anthony Jones and became a scopist. Together, they raised Timothy Paul Trice and Brian Casey Trice and had a son, Mark Anthony Jones. She spent the majority of her adult life as a Navy Wife and scopist. She left behind her husband, three sons, her granddaughter Aislyn Brown, her grandsons Orion Trice, Casey Trice, and Kyle Trice.
Debbie was a hard worker, strong-willed, had a great sense of humor, a love of nature, and a strong attachment to Starbucks coffee. She would spend her mornings reading the news while drinking her latest cup of Starbucks. At the same time, her rescued dog would dance around her for breakfast, all before starting her day chasing after Fitbit’s hourly step goals and having small talk with her neighbors. Even if her schedule were tight, she would listen still take time out of her day to talk to her husband and sons and the occasional stranger. When the weather was nice, she’d enjoy riding her bicycle around the neighborhood with her family or going on walks along the local trails while she listened to her audiobooks.
Debbie will be remembered for days spent playing hide and seek with her two bright-eyed dogs, the small innocent pranks she’d pull on those she loved, and for lending an ear to those in her life. She is loved by her friends and family alike and will be missed by all. She was inspirational in life and will continue to be in death.
