Alice F. Dawson, on September 20th, 2019, found release after a lifetime of battling cancer. Alice was supported by her devoted husband, Tom Dawson and loving daughter Sarah Dawson. She was born in Norfolk VA to Sylvan and Sara Foreman on October 4th 1952. Alice lived a bold and courageous life, one of strength and sacrifice. She was selfless, compassionate, and to those who knew and loved her most- simply amazing!
Alice fought and conquered cancer throughout her life. For the last four and a half years she never conceded a battle that needed to be faced, never shied away from a treatment or surgery, and never once felt sorry for herself. She touched people’s lives around her and always had a smile on her face. She was a collector of fine books, fragrances, candles, and art de vivre. Alice had an eye for the details in life. Her passions were music, interior design, photography, and her family.
She is survived by her husband and daughter, sister Lynn Jane Foreman, and her husband’s extended family. Alice also leaves behind countless close friends, neighbors, doctors, nurses, advocates, and care providers who’s lives she touched. Here’s to Amazing Alice.
