Alvin N. Mullinax, a cherished father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia, at the age of 79. Born on December 3, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, Alvin lived a life marked by dedication to his work and a profound love for nature and animals.
Alvin spent his career as a skilled electrician, a profession he pursued with diligence and pride. His expertise and commitment to his craft were well-regarded by all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Alvin found joy and solace in the great outdoors. He was an avid lover of the mountains, where he often sought refuge and inspiration. Camping and fishing were among his favorite pastimes, allowing him to connect with nature and find peace in its beauty. Above all, Alvin cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs, Miss Tina and Matti, who were his faithful companions through many adventures.
Alvin is preceded in death by his sister, Dot Smith. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Brandon C. Mullinax; his brothers, Jerry L. Mullinax and Joe E. Mullinax; and his sisters, Sarah Burdett and Jean Pharr. Alvin’s memory will be forever treasured by his family and friends, who will miss his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit.
