I would like to thank all of the wonderful caretakers at Chesapeake Place Assisted Living. They all loved Mom and took extra care of her. One of the caretakers called her “lipstick” because she always had to have her makeup on daily and styling in her many outfits.
Mom really enjoyed being a mom. If she could have had 10 kids I think she would have. Mom loved reading, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and eating out. As a teen, she loved ice-skating and at age 18 was chosen to skate with the Ice Capades.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Chesapeake and attended Sunday school and Tuesday morning Bible Study classes with many of her lady friends. There will be a Celebration Of Life at Immanuel Baptist Church on a date TBD.
