Bettie J. Snow, born on July 20, 1941, in Wilson, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home in Gloucester, Virginia, on February 13, 2026, at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her beloved family, who cherished her deeply.
Bettie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found immense joy in spending time with her family. Her love for crocheting was well-known among her loved ones, and she often gifted her beautiful creations to those she held dear.
Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie H. Snow; her parents, Luby T. Durham and Fannie Durham (Barnes); and her sisters, Mildred Holloman (Durham), Peggy Holloman (Durham), and Sadie Bailey (Durham). Her memory will be lovingly carried forward by her son, Jimmie H. Snow, and her daughter, Linda G. Everington (Snow), along with Linda’s husband, Floyd.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Kristyl B. Arroyo (Snow) and her husband Jason, Karli J. Dodd (Snow) and her husband Tom, Justin Everington and his wife Chynna, and Ayden Everington. Her great-grandchildren—Julian and Abigail Oropeza, Jay and Jasmine Arroyo, Annabella, Vincent, Scarlett, and Oliver Dodd, as well as Arden, Ashe, and Danica Everington—will continue to be inspired by her warmth and kindness.
Bettie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who will fondly remember her gentle spirit and generous heart. Her presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and family will endure.
