Betty Jean Trujillo, born in Vicksburg, Mississippi on May 22, 1934. She spent many years on the Gulf coast. She passed away on December 29, 2025, at her home in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 91.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph Alexandria Kethley and Ellen Barnes Kethley. As well as her son Stephen Patrick Cook and daughter Linda Cook Taylor.
Betty leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her surviving family, including her son, Michael Cook and daughter Donna Hayden, who will deeply miss her presence. And her loving brother Joseph Kethley and family and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nephews nieces and cousins.
Betty was a dedicated mother and grandmother and hardworking entrepreneur who owned and operated an apparel retail store that featured Square dancing attire and accessories. Her hobby and passion was crocheting.
