Continue ReadingPortsmouth – It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Marcum Pope announces her passing on April 8, 2018 at the age of 72. She was the daughter of Henry and Estelle Marcum. Betty was born on January 26, 1946 in Cinderella, West Virginia. She will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Gene Pope, son, Brandon Pope, two daughters, Shanna Pope and Jenna Pope Harness and husband, Kelly Harness. Betty is survived by six brothers and three sisters and predeceased by three brothers. She had five grandchildren, Tyler McClellan, Kalysa Pope, Kirstyn Pope, Kameron Harness, and Kenna Harness.
A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., at Portsmouth City Park under the Pavilion. Flowers can be sent to 1004 Melvin Drive Portsmouth, VA 23701. Condolences may be registered online at vacremationsociety.com.
