I wish everyone could have a friend like Bev was to me! Bev put her caring into action. I met Bev in an elevator in the hospital where our 26 year old son was dying of cancer in 1989. Kent had lived in Virginia Beach only a few months and I was a stranger to the area. Bev took me under her wing . She phoned me at the hospital and the motel every day, visited us in the hospital room, sent flowers, took me out to eat and to see the Christmas decorations at the mall. For over a month she helped me through a more than difficult time . After I returned to Illinois, Bev called nearly every day for several weeks; she sent flowers and cards of all kinds. She became my dearest friend even though we lived a 1,000 miles apart. Bev was my many "faceted" friend: compassioate, helpful, kind, a straight talker, was so knowledgeable, understanding, had a temper, but could be an elegant soft-spoken lady. How she loved her family, her friends, and animals!!! I am grateful that she was a big part of my life for 29 years. We are praying that God's Blessings will be with you in abundance. With love to you all, Cris===

I will truly miss this lady more than words can say. I will forever remember her strong will and our chats. She loved her family and her animals. The last time I walked with her she told me she loved me and I loved her too. I had the pleasure of meeting her family but I saw Chris and Sandy the most. I thank God for letting her be part of my life for the last 10 years and she will be a part of my heart forever. God Bless her family and I will keep you all in my prayers.
