Brian Lee Gulrud, sixty-two, was called home to the Lord on June 15, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur H. Gulrud and Ardelle M. Gulrud. Also preceding him in death is his brother, John A. Gulrud. He is survived by his older brother, Douglas C. Gulrud and his nieces and nephews, Robyn Gulrud Braun, Julie Gulrud Bailey, John Gulrud, Sue Gulrud Felder, Michelle Gulrud Jenkins, Mark Gulrud and Paul Gulrud. Additionally, he has thirteen grandnephews, and ten grandnieces that survive him. He was a dedicated servant to the Lord, as a member, teacher, and musician at Star of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Berlin, Wisconsin, and Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. A memorial service will be held at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church on Friday, June 21, 2019, at 11:00 am. A graveside service will be performed on a date to be determined at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, Brian requested that all donations be made to one of the following ministries: Star Outreach, Star Brass Music, Star LES Scholarship, and/or Martin Luther College. So sorry to here the news of Brian's passing. We were friends for a very long time and have a lot of great memories to Al being your mechanic for so many years on your cars and trucks. All the truck and car shows we attended. Will be thinking of you and your smile every time we drive your old 92 Ford. May you rest in peace my friend and your Mustang live on.

Rest contentedly, My Brother, in Heaven with our Lord and his angels. You were a blessing to our mother and father. You continually dedicated your life to the church and your music. I know You have made it safely home. Missed - You will be.

Brian, how can this be? You once mentioned that you will be laid to rest with your parents in Madison, WI and the time has come. You lived well. Cared for your Mom, checked in on your nieces and nephews and gave your cousins your friendship and your nudges. We will miss your stubbornness, your kindness especially that twinkle in your eye, and going to Ann's for pizza, your favorite. Rest in peace my cousin.
