Bruce Galen Fox, of Hampton, a beloved husband, brother, stepfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at Riverside Regional Medical Center, on November 24, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 15, 1949, in Newport News, Bruce lived a life marked by dedication to his family, faith, and community.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Sarah Fox. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Pudina Fox; his brothers, Barry Fox and his wife Sandra, Buddy Fox, Bradley Fox and his wife Jill, and Bryan Fox and his wife Jacquie; his sister, Bonnie Nelson and her husband Dale; his stepchildren, Raymond Monk, Rachel Monk Cancilla, Sabrina Fox Gunter, Alisha Fox, and Colin Fox. He also leaves behind many cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and a host of dear friends.
Bruce was a graduate of Warwick High School and furthered his education by attending Thomas Nelson Community College, where he pursued machine shop classes. His commitment to service began early when he was drafted and served honorably in the Vietnam War as a helicopter and tank mechanic. This experience laid the foundation for his lifelong career in mechanics and maintenance.
After returning from service, Bruce worked as a machinist and mechanic at Maida Development Company before dedicating over 30 years of his professional life to Howmet Corp. as an industrial maintenance technician, where he was known for his expertise and commitment to excellence. His skill and passion for fixing things were evident to all who knew him, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand.
Beyond his professional life, Bruce was a devoted minister with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, where he and his wife were active members of the congregation, sharing his faith and providing spiritual guidance to many.
Bruce cherished time spent at home with family and friends. He enjoyed recreations, fishing, camping and had a passion for motorcycles. He was also known for his love of tinkering around the house. His ability to fix almost anything made him a helpful presence in the lives of those around him. Bruce was also a dedicated volunteer, contributing to disaster relief efforts and Kingdom Hall builds, always ready to lend a hand where needed. Bruce’s love for music was well-known, and brought him much joy throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses Buckroe Congregation located at 717 E. Little Back River Road Hampton, VA 23666 at 1pm on January 3rd, 2025. The service will also be available on Zoom (information is included below).
Bruce will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his kindness, and his willingness to help others. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
