Dear Janie, Katherine and I want to express our sorrow at Bruce’s passing. Bruce would often ride by our house on his motorcycle after spending time at the Crowe’s and we loved his quick wit and ever funny outlook on life. We had a few great rides when we were younger and one time rode to DC for the Memorial Day Rolling Thunder Rally. You probably remember as this ride was pre cell phone era and Bruce and I got separated during an intense thunderstorm. I stopped at a backroad gas station to change clothes and called Katherine and she called you, and you relayed that Bruce’s bike had broken down (gear shift lever broke). Bruce and I communicated between you and Kath that I was at a bar in Alexandria waiting for Bruce to arrive. We eventually hooked up and stayed at his place in Alexandria and rode in the solemn parade to the Vietnam War Memorial with thousands of motorcyclists. It was monumental and I’ll never forget that adventure! Bruce also showed me his favorite spots in Alexandria that weekend, one in particular, Hard Times Chili, which I still visit when I’m in DC. I will always remember these great times with Bruce. He will be sorely missed. Sincerely- Tim and Kath

Janie, I was deeply saddened to see Bruce’s obituary in the paper. He was a great guy and had a great impact on my life in my early years. When I think of him I can only smile! We had so many years of laughter and so many cold brews! He was a man of strong principle and was always deeply committed to you. If there is anything that I can do for you PLEASE let me know. You and Bruce are in my prayers!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. I worked with you in the late 60s and still remember how close the two of you were. You were also kind to me and I never forgot that. May God comfort you with His everlasting love.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
