Candace Phelps, born on November 14, 1963, in Manteo, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in Saluda, Virginia, at the age of 62.

Candace was a devoted and loving individual who cherished spending time with her family. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of those around her, leaving behind cherished memories that will be treasured by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ralph and Delores Twiddy. Candace is survived by her children, Joseph Twiddy, Jeremy Phelps and Kate Kirby, who will continue to honor her memory and carry forward her legacy of love and compassion.

In accordance with her wishes, no services are scheduled. The family appreciates the support and condolences from friends and loved ones during this difficult time.

Candace will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
