Virginia Beach, VA  –  Carl William Emmons, aged 64, passed away on December 10, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born on May 8, 1961, in Neptune, NJ, Carl lived a life marked by dedication and service.

Carl devoted much of his career to the Hazmat Division of the Department of Defense, where he worked diligently to ensure the safety and security of his country. A proud retired US Navy Veteran, Carl’s commitment to his nation was unwavering, and he carried his experiences and values from his service throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Raymond Emmons, Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Ross Emmons and his brother, James Emmons. Carl is survived by his son, Christopher H. Emmons of Japan; his brothers, Raymond Emmons and John Emmons, and his sister, Susan Carlson, all residing in New Jersey, along with several other family members who will cherish his memory.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held in New Jersey at a later date to honor Carl’s life and legacy. The Cremation Society of Virginia, Chesapeake Office, is assisting the family during this difficult time.
