Carol Ann Bryant, a vibrant soul known for her big heart and love of life, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, in Newport News, VA, at the age of 66, with her family by her side.

Born on November 16, 1959, in Bermuda at the Naval Hospital to the late William and Edna Sims, Carol spent her life creating joy for those around her. Whether she was crabbing on a sunny afternoon, crafting, or painting her next masterpiece, her creativity and social spirit were the hallmarks of her personality. She was happiest when the music was loud, dancing through her home and sharing laughs with friends and family.

Carol’s legacy of love continues through her devoted husband of over 20 years, David Bryant. She was mother to Jennifer Robbins (Lucas – Spouse) and Michelle Mathis “Shell- Bird” (Tyre- Spouse). Her greatest pride was her three grandsons: Lee Richardson, Grayson Robbins, and Carter Mathis. Carol is now reunited with her beloved sister, Theresa Bryant, who preceded her in death.
