Born in Hampton to the late Charlotte and Alfred Elliott, Sr. She studied Computer Science at High Point University and had worked as Principal Computer Specialist for the Baltimore Police Department and was Sr. Computer Programmer at the Sara Lee Corporation. She also was a Direct Mail Specialist for Avon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Edith.
Katy loved fishing, Bingo and tailgating at Hampton University football games. She also donated her time and assistance for different charities.
Left to cherish her memories are her brother, Alfred A. Elliott, Jr. and his wife, Anne; her special friend, Lars Thane and numerous cousins, extended family and dear friends.
A special thanks to Tracy and the doctors and staff of Virginia Oncology and also the staff of Riverside Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2018 at Altmeyer Funeral Home-Riverside Chapel, 7415 River Road, Newport News.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to a charity of choice.
