Celia Jo Hightower, born on October 7, 1950, in Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 74.

Celia dedicated her life to caring for others through her work as a nurse, providing comfort and compassion to countless individuals throughout her career. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to her profession left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse Brothers Hightower Jr., as well as one son and one daughter. Her memory will be cherished by her surviving family, including one son, one daughter, two sisters, and one brother. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will forever hold her in their hearts.
