Kathy Brady Skeens left a message on August 1, 2025:
To all of you who are grieving the loss of your loved one, I am so sorry for your loss. I met Darlene when my three kids were working Dominos. She was a mama bear to each of them during some rough teen years. She loved them, supported them, listened to them, and seemed to sincerely care about them. We struck up a friendship at that time. I saw the toll on her body after her stroke and then a move to a place in Williamsburg where she had a roof over her head and a space to call her own. It wasn’t too long after that transition, Zeke passed away. A mother never recovers from the loss of a child. They just know that they must continue to breathe in and out. The suffering made her a compassionate human being when others were suffering or just in need of encouragement. No more suffering. The promise of heaven is no more tears, no more sickness, a new body, and a reunion with those that are waiting to greet you.
