Hampton- Debra Ann Goode, 64 years old, passed away on September 24, 2019. She was born June 25, 1955 in Charlotte, NC to Audrey Pearle Ervin and David Chalmers Ervin, Sr.

Debra was a lovely woman that was always making everyone around her feel welcomed or comforted. She loved going to bingo with her loved ones or spending time with her family. She enjoyed Redibids auctions on her tablet as well as watching her cable. Debbie Goode as many may have known her; she was a very kind-hearted person who would give her last and helped anyone who needed help. She loved her children and most importantly her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and David Ervin, Sr.; brothers, David Chalmers Ervin, Jr. and Mark Curtis Ervin. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Luther Wirt Goode; children, Ashley Nicole Goode, Angela Leigh Goode, Jay Jacob Hopper (son in-law), Maurice Johnson Sr. (son in-law), Jerid Zimmerman (son in-law); Grandchildren, Maranda Marie Hopper, Zachary Paul Wirt Hopper, Alyssa Faye Ann Handle, Leslie Diamond Handle, Layla Grace Bishop, Maurice Johnson Jr., Audrina Sabria Johnson, Jayden Palacios; Grandson-In-Law, Vinny Williams; Granddaughter-In-Law, Heather McStamp; Great grandchildren; Dakota & Clayton Cress, Sage & Zeke Cress, Michael McStamp, Connor Ezekiel James;; Numerous of sisters, Brother in law; Robert Goode; Nieces, Amie Rosario (Amie Ervin) Joanna Garcia (Ervin) Amber Ervin, Laura Ervin, their children. The list can go on.

Private memorial will be held by her daughter Ashley Goode. Donations will be accepted as the Cremation Society of Virginia is handling the arrangements. Donations are asked for the help in her cremation as well as possibly reaching the goal to help go towards burying her ashes next to her mother’s plot. As we did not know if she left behind a will nor life insurance. Donations will help go towards all the above mentioned as well help her daughter and her family for falling short.
