It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dianne Marie Sleight, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on February 7, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, Dianne led a life filled with love, dedication, and passion.
Dianne was a proud graduate of Jeremiah E. Burke High School and Bryant & Stratton College in Boston and over the course of her career held the distinguished title of Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Her commitment to her profession was evident not only through her work but also through her active involvement with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), where she notably served as state president for both North Carolina and Mississippi.
Her life was enriched by her many interests, including traveling to explore new cultures, tending to her vibrant gardens, and practicing yoga, which brought her peace and serenity.
Dianne was preceded in death by her dear brother Richard “Mac” McArthur and sister Leona Teneyck. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 45 years, Richard Sleight, and her cherished daughters, Monica King and Laura Amdusky along with her husband Mike. Her legacy continues through her grandsons, Adam Amdusky and Zach Dent, who brought immense joy to her life.
She is also survived by her loving sister Dorothy Weymouth and a very special niece Kristen Weymouth, additionally her brother Liam McGlynn along with his wife Taylor, as well as many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
