On Tuesday August 20, 2024 at 7:50 pm, Dorothy Akita Bough Williamson: mother, wife, niece, sister, grandmother and great grandmother departed this earth to be with the Lord.

     Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 21, 1926, to Eugene Bough and Thelma Linkquiste. Soon after her mother passed, Dorothy moved to Puerto Rico with her Aunt Philippa. Then, shortly after that she moved to St.Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. Dorothy grew up in St.Croix, then she moved to the United States to meet her father Eugene Bough at the age of nineteen where she also met her brother Max Bough.

     Dorothy met and married Norman Francis. She later had Ronald and Barbara. Through life circumstances they did not stay together. She eventually met Arnold Williamson, they got married in 1958 in the Bronx, New York. She raised another family of Bonnie, Terrence, Sandra and Roberta.  Soon after, Dorothy began her training and career as a nursing aide at Morrisania Hospital, she later worked and retired at Jacobi Hospital in November 1988.  In January, 1989 she moved her family to Richmond, Virginia.

     Dorothy was a very sincere and loving wife, mother and friend, who gave the “shirt off her back for anyone.”  She was extremely proud of her Caribbean Heritage and European Ancestry.  She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Dorothy leaves to grieve her passing, daughter Bonnie, son Terrence, daughter Sandra, and daughter Roberta; nephew Eric Bough;  sons-in-law, John, Daimon, Nathaniel; Grandchildren, Jason, Stormy, Terrence (Deeanna), Ashley, Jarred (Ellise), Jordan, Ariel and Daina; Great Grandchildren, Lauren, Little Jason, Natalie, Stella, IsLa, Serene, Leilani, Elisha, and loving Church friends.
