Dorothy Humphreys Soule, born on July 18,1937 in Sutton WV, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025 in her daughter’s home in Virginia Beach, VA. Dot was preceded in death by her son, Paul Humphreys Soule, and all ten of her beloved siblings. She is survived by her son, Reggie Soule (wife Shelley), and daughter, Connie Burford (husband Dennis), grandchildren, Paul Burford (wife Meg), Brittany Lehman (husband Justin), Daniel Burford, Joshua Soule (fiancée Jaleesa), Denise Burford  and great-grandchildren, Emerson, Lucy, Connor and Colton. She will be forever cherished and remembered by her family and friends, including her many nephews and nieces.

 Dot graduated from Norfolk General Hospital School of Nursing and worked for many years as a registered nurse in the operating room, health department, and as a school nurse. She was a very active member of Providence Presbyterian Church and over the years she served as an elder and on many different committees. Dot was a people person with a gift for telling stories. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren, and Bmama, as she was known to them, had a special place in all their hearts. As a Christian, Dot’s ultimate desire was to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and it is a great comfort to her family to know that she is at peace in her heavenly home.

 A Celebration of Life service was held in remembrance of Dot. The family wants to express their deep appreciation to all who attended and to everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this time.
