Chesapeake- Dorothy Schumpf Cutherell, 80, passed away peacefully on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2018. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 60 years Elmer Barton Cutherell; daughters Theresa Emry, Dorothy Lassiter and Gail Wallace; grandchildren Ricky Lassiter, Lisa Lassiter, Johnathan Barton Emry, Jeremy Emry, and Danial Wallace; also, her beloved bird Houdini.
Dorothy had an adventurous nature, a passion for karate and bowling. She was active in her church and community. She will be loved and missed by all who knew her.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
