After retirement, he was employed as a Police Officer with Civil Service. He loved dogs, hunting, fishing and following his New England sports teams of the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics and Bruins. He also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling.
Earnest was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda; parents, Ashton and Daisy Dance and six siblings.
Left to cherish his memories are his children, David E. Dance (Ramona), and Phillip W. Dance (Imelda); grandchildren, Brenda Lagunzad, Dakota Dance, Jessica Everett (Seth) and David E. Dance, Jr.; his sister, Georgia Stith; nephew, Tony Hunt (Sherry) and his faithful friend, Spike.
Earnest will be missed by all.
Cremation Society of Virginia-Newport News assisted the family with their arrangements.
