Eleanor Oglesby
Date of Death: August 18, 2021

Eleanor Oglesby went to be with our Lord on August 18th, 2021.  Born August 25th, 1934 in Macon, GA to James Naylor and Mary Eleanor Douglass. Later in life she moved to Tidewater and married her husband David B. Oglesby, Jr in August of 1964. They were married over 53 years before his passing in September of 2016.  4 years later, in 1968, they had their one and only son, David B. Oglesby, III who survived her.  Known for her deep Southern accent and red hair, she will be missed by all.  Her witty sayings and humour were one of her hallmarks. Eleanor was a devout Christian and “prayer warrior” up until her passing.  Her son, David III, will miss his mother more than anyone.  No son has ever loved a mother more than him.  Please join us this Saturday, September 11th, 2021 at 11:00 am in her Celebration of Life; located at VA Beach Community Chapel, 1261 Laskin Road, VA Beach, VA 23451, 757-428-1881.
