It is with love and faith filled hearts that we announce Elizabeth Ann Teller went to be with our Lord on July 27, 2021 where her adoring mother, Judy Teller, greeted her with open arms.
Beth was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on January 5, 1983. A curious and incredibly kind child, she made fast friends wherever she landed. Even into adulthood, people gravitated to her bright and loving spirit. Always surrounded by admiring friends, family and coworkers, Beth was an exceptional influence on the world around her, but especially on her 8-year-old son, Jacob. Dedicated to building and maintaining a joyful and quality life for Jacob, Beth’s kind heart is reflected in her son’s loving and sweet demeanor.
A lifelong learner, Beth received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Old Dominion University and was planning to attend the University of Florida to pursue her Master’s degree this fall. She was employed at ODU where she helped countless students plan for their futures and reach their goals through education.
A lover of fine arts and nature, Beth combined her enthusiasm and artistic gifts through photography. Capturing breathtaking landscapes during her travels, her work was often featured in shows where she was awarded for her talents.
Beth is survived by her beloved son Jacob – the light of her life, her father Bob Teller (Sandi), sister Kristie Lawrence and brother-in-law Rob Lawrence. She leaves behind her niece Emily (Ethan) and nephew Jesse – with whom she shared incredibly special connections. Beth particularly valued her relationships with her cousin Kylee, dear friend Akeyla and will be sorely missed by her fur babies, Thanos, Ziggy and Lilly. Additional survivors include Jacob’s father Vince, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Beth will be remembered by her kindness to everyone she met and her admirable ability to embrace and live in the moment. Her ashes will be spread this fall in her most cherished space, the Shenandoah Mountains.
A fund has been set up for Jacob’s college education via the link below for friends and family who wish to donate in Beth’s honor. God bless. https://gofund.me/b39fe593
