Beloved Mother, Amma, Sister, and Friend
Suffolk, VA – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eyglo Jones, who departed this life peacefully. Born in Iceland to Vilborg Björnsdóttir and Kristinn Berg Pétursson, Eyglo carried the warmth, strength, and enduring spirit of her heritage into all aspects of her life.
Eyglo was the devoted mother of three children: Brynja, April, and Christopher, each of whom was the light of her life. She was also a proud and loving amma to her four grandchildren: Ilana, Fallon, Ian, and Farrah, whose laughter and love brought her endless joy.
Though no longer married, Eyglo shared an important part of her life with her former husband, Brian Jones, with whom she raised a strong and close-knit family.
Eyglo was one of thirteen siblings and is survived by three. She was predeceased by nine of her beloved siblings and is now reunited with them. Her siblings, who brought richness and connection to her life, include:

Eyglo’s life was a testament to love, quiet strength, and unshakable devotion to her family. Those who knew Eyglo will remember her for her gentle wisdom, unwavering support, and the way her eyes lit up when she spoke of her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a deep sense of family that will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew her.
