She and Jim were devoted to their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and were charter members of Williamsburg Christian Church, led by Pastor Fred Liggin and Associate Pastor Dave Faith. Pastor Dave visited Jim weekly for 10 years and also with Florine after Jim passed. He was devoted to them and they to him. Pastor Dave helped both of them transition from their earthly life to everlasting life.
Florine was employed for thirty years at Eastern State Hospital and retired in 1989. Florine, a born nurturer, was always happiest when with her family and her love of the outdoors since childhood. Her flowers and gardens meant the world to her as well. She has blessed each and everyone she came into contact with-never met a stranger!
She will be forever missed and always loved by all of us. We have a certainty she is in heaven, is well and whole again and surely knows the peace that we on earth do not understand. That is our comfort: Nanny is well and at peace and very happy; united with Jim and all family and friends in heaven. God bless her soul. Much love Nanny!
Arrangements for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
