Floyd Dale Herron (Dale), 84, passed away peacefully at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center on August 8, 2025, with family by his side. He was born in Indianapolis Indiana to the late Frank and Mary Herron. Dale honorably served his country with the United States Army for 20 years, to include multiple tours in Vietnam. Following his Army retirement, he worked for the federal government as a civilian employee.

Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Annemarie (Anne); daughter Linda (husband Phillip), granddaughter Sydney; daughter Connie (husband Richard), grandsons Blake (wife Sara) and Tyler; brother Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Mary Herron and multiple brothers and sisters. Dale was a devoted and loving family man. A man of character and integrity, he was loyal, kind, and loved to spend time with his family creating many cherished memories.

Dale’s funeral service will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, it was Dale’s desire that donations be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association (APD).
