Fred Elton Flora, Jr., 72, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 in Virginia Beach, VA surrounded by family. He was born to the late Fred Elton Flora, Sr. and the late Mildred Ruth Flora on July 29, 1949 in Rocky Mount, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by death by his brothers, Mickey S. Flora and Melvin M. Flora.

“Freddie,” Fred enjoyed time spent with family & Friends. He loved golf, especially the family “Flora Golf Tournament,” fishing, gardening, and time spent on the deck in his backyard sitting in the sunshine.

A special pleasure was planning and completing many weekend projects with his son Chris.

He leaves behind a wife of 48 years, Faye E. Flora of Virginia Beach, VA and son Christopher S. Flora of Chesapeake, VA, brother Butch Flora (Lynn) of Raleigh, NC, sister Annette Carrico (Sam) of Wilmington, NC, sister-in-law Faye N. Flora of Bolivia, sister-in-law Margie Billows of Florida, sister-in-law Carol E. Vinson (Melvin) of Chesapeake, brother-in-law Bill Edwards of Virginia Beach, VA, and many nieces and nephews.

There will not be a service at this time.
