Gail Ann Pascaris, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025, in Yorktown, Virginia, at the age of 60. Born on June 12, 1965, in Detroit, Michigan, Gail lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and dedication.
Gail was a proud alumna of Calvin College, now known as Calvin University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business. Her professional journey led her to a fulfilling career as the Senior Fiscal and Data Administrator at The College of William & Mary where she worked for the Dean’s Office in the Arts and Sciences Department. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and meticulous professional who contributed greatly to the institution.
Beyond her career, Gail was a lover of books and the arts. She expressed her creativity through a wide range of artistic endeavors, including ceramic art, handmade paper crafting, paper marbling, Gelli printing, journal making, beading, jewelry making, and photography. Through her photography, she captured her love of Yorktown and its rich history. Her artistic spirit was evident in everything she touched, and she shared her talents generously with those around her.
Gail was an active member of her community, participating in both the Book Group and Pottery Studio. Her love for history and education extended to her volunteer work at the Colonial National Historical Park, where she gave tours of the Poor Potter and the Nelson House sites at Yorktown Battlefield.
A devoted Detroit Tigers fan, Gail shared this passion with her father, creating cherished memories that lasted a lifetime.
Gail is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Donna Lynn Pascaris and Peter Alexander Pascaris, as well as her uncle, Larry H. Boyd. She is survived by her loving stepmother, Merrilee Foxley Pascaris; her brother, Matthew Pascaris, and his wife Suzie; her sister, Amanda Witgen, and her husband Matthew; her stepsister, Elizabeth O’Hagan, and her husband James; her stepbrother, Jimi Foxley, and his wife Lindsay; her uncle, Tom Pascaris, and his wife Donna; her aunt, Gail Boyd; and her cherished niece and nephews, Aibhlinn, Declan, Fintan, and Ailish.
Gail’s warmth, kindness, and artistic spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of creativity and love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
