Patty, I'm so sorry to discover that Gary has passed away. When I visited with him at the end of July, I expected him to be with us for a long time. His attitude was so great and his plans for all of you being together in New Kent County, I just figured he would find a way to make it happen. Gary was a good friend since our days in the band at Warwick High and his was the only familiar face, other than family, that I saw when we met at Bill Sheldon's funeral in Richmond. He will be sorely missed by so many friends, students, co-workers, and of course, his family - who he loved so much. We have all been lucky to have known such a great human being.

I am only now finding out about gary's passing away and am so sorry to hear this. Gary was a true friend, husband, father. I never met a more upstanding person than Gary. There was not a sole I have ever met that was more positive in the face of adversity than Gary and someone truly to look up to and emulate. My condolences to Patty and the girls and wish I could have been there.

RIP my dear friend. Remember last September seeing you. What a YTREAT. better than Christmas. Had to remind you of UVA inept UVA football. If they defeat Hokies this year record 13-1. But I will attribute it to DIVINE Intervention. You and our LORD>
