Portsmouth- Gene Edward Pope, 79, passed away September 16, 2018. He is survived by his three children, Brandon Pope, Shanna Pope and Jenna Harness; four grandchildren; siblings: and other family and friends. Gene was predeceased by his wife, Betty Marcum Pope earlier this year. Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
